Historical Crystal Garden
Be immersed in one of the most beautiful event venues in Western Canada. Designed by Victoria architects Francis Rattenbury and Percy L. James, this crystal conservatory was inspired by London’s Crystal Palace and housed exotic gardens, dance floors and a saltwater pool before becoming a permanent part of the Victoria Conference Centre.
Events at the Crystal Garden
The Crystal Garden was a popular social centre in Victoria for decades and a celebrity haunt in its heyday. In later years, the space was home to exotic animals and tropical gardens before re-opening in its present form as part of the VCC.
With high ceilings and 25,000 square feet of naturally bright, open space, it easily adapts to your needs.
The Victoria Conference Centre is honoured to be based on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the Songhees Nation and Xwsepsum Nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
